The Barum brand was born in 1945, and their first radial tyre was manufactured in 1967.  However, Barum traces its roots back to Bata in 1924, a humble shoe manufacturer that produced rubber soles in Czechoslovakia.  Each Barum tyre today reflects and incorporates seventy years of knowledge and experience in tyre manufacturing and rubber production. 

Barum's philosophy is to produce good tyres at attractive prices.  Barum aims to deliver the best in price-performance ratios, and this is reflected in the larger number of vehicles now fitted with Barum tyres.  Barum boasts of one of the most modern tyre plants in Europe, and each tyre is checked thoroughly for performance and quality before it leaves the plant.
