In 1839 Charles Goodyear is credited with inventing the process of "vulcanisation" which is used to cure rubber. The tyre company was formed in 1898 and the name “Goodyear” was given to it in honour of this historical scientific achievement. As well as being one of the big three global brands, Goodyear is the biggest in North America. Australian manufacturing started in the post second world war era, and has continued ever since.

Many local and imported car brands use Goodyear original equipment tyres. The range includes Eagle F1, NCT 5, Ducaro GA for cars and the Wrangler range for all terrain vehicles.

Goodyear’s GTR tyre offers durability and value. The closely compacted tread design gives a longer tread life and better mileage, leading to better value.
