In 1839 Charles Goodyear is credited with inventing the process of "vulcanisation" which is used to cure rubber. The tyre company was formed in 1898 and the name “Goodyear” was given to it in honour of this historical scientific achievement. As well as being one of the big three global brands, Goodyear is the biggest in North America. Australian manufacturing started in the post second world war era, and has continued ever since.

Many local and imported car brands use Goodyear original equipment tyres. The range includes Eagle F1, NCT 5, Ducaro GA for cars and the Wrangler range for all terrain vehicles.

Wrangler RTS – all season performer

Goodyear’s Wrangler RTS tyre is engineered to give excellent performance and handling in both wet and dry conditions. The mixed rib/block design gives excellent traction and enhanced control in offroad conditions. The dual steel belted construction gives increased durability and is resistant to chips, cuts and punctures.

Road noise is reduced as a result of the optimised pitch sequence. The tread pattern gives excellent cornering and braking performance. Fitted as original equipment on various Ford vehicles, the Wrangler RTS gives great performance on all surfaces in all conditions.
