Sizing Your Tyres

  You have 3 options when it comes to replacing your tyres:
  1. Replace your existing worn tyre with an identical or similar tyre
  2. Change to a premium tyre, using your existing wheel rims
  3. Change to a premium tyre with entirely new wheels - a package deal (eg. a progression might be from a 205/65 R15 to a 215/60 R16)

For those of you who have chosen option 3, this tool calculates the new overall tyre diameter and will let you know the number of revs/mile for both your existing tyre and the possible alternative(s). For a legal fitment, the difference in overall tyre diameter between your existing tyre and your replacement must be within +15/-15 mm in most states*.

*  Queensland permits +15/-26 mm.

Read "The Changing Shape of Tyres " and "Rules of Thumb - Fatter, Wider, Lower " for further information.

Enter your existing tyre size in the Stock Size field.

Enter possible alternative sizes in the Tyres to Compare. Submit.
